Al Leiter Leaves Yankees Broadcasts

Former Florida Marlins pitcher Al Leiter has decided to stop broadcasting baseball games as a game analyst of New York Yankees games on YES Network. He has been employed there since 2006. He will continue working with MLB Network on a part-time basis.
Leiter pitched for the Marlins for two seasons from 1996 to 1997. He was the Marlins starting pitcher in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series that they won in 11 innings 3-2 over the Cleveland Indians. Leiter was one of several former Marlins players that included Preston Wilson, Jeff Conine and Carl Pavano who worked Miami Marlins games as a game analyst on Fox Sports Florida alongside play-by-play announcer Rich Waltz during the 2016 season.
