The National Basketball Association announced on Friday that the 2019-20 regular season will continue as of July 31. It will be held exclusively at Walt Disney World just southwest of Orlando. The entire postseason will also be held there.
22 NBA clubs will participate for the remainder of the regular season. These teams will each play eight games to finish off the campaign. The regular season was suspended by NBA commissioner Adam Silver on March 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Miami Heat have clinched a playoff sport based on the new criteria being used. They are currently in fourth place among Eastern Conference teams. The Heat make the NBA Playoffs for the second time in three years and 13th time in the last 17 seasons.
