Blanche Ely Disposes Deerfield Beach

The annual McDougle Bowl was held at Butler Stadium in Deerfield Beach on Friday night and the Blanche Ely Tigers finally topped the Deerfield Beach Bucks 7-0. The Bucks had defeated the Tigers 10 consecutive times since 2012 until tonight. Deerfield Beach has won 14 of the last 18 meetings since 2004.
Another interesting fact is that both Broward County high schools participate in the same district for the first time in several decades. The Tigers now are on top in Class 3M District 10.
Blanche Ely(6-0) stayed undefeated and have outscored their six opponents 179-44 during the regular season. The Tigers head for Sunrise next week and take on the Piper Bengals next.
Deerfield Beach(3-5) may not currently have a winning record, however they've outscored their opponents 169-129 in 2022. The Bucks go to PAL Field and challenge the Plantation Colonels in a week.
