2023 NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition

The 2023 NHL All-Star Game Weekend had its skills competition at FLA Live Arena on Friday night. The same thing occurred at the same venue 20 years ago for the 2003 NHL All-Star Game. The 2023 NHL All-Star Game will be played tomorrow.
The first event of the evening was for the fastest skater. Andrei Svechnikov of the Carolina Hurricanes and Kevin Fiala of the Los Angeles Kings had the two fastest times to make the finals. Svechnikov won the final round in 13.699 seconds.
The next thing that happened was the breakaway challenge. Former Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo was the celebrity goalie in the event. Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals teamed together on a breakaway and had a perfect score of 40 points.
The tendy tandem occurred next in the skills competition. The Central Division won it with Juuse Saros of the Nashville Predators shooting the puck from the end wall down the ice and Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets in net.
The pitch'n' puck combined golf and hockey by hitting a puck and a golf ball with a hockey stick. Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens ended up winning the event on three shots for a birdie.
The splash shot was filmed earlier in the day at Fort Lauderdale Beach. Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen of the Colorado Avalanche were able to get the victory in 18.7 seconds.
The hardest shot is what following that. Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks had the hardest shot on net at 103.2 miles per hour.
The final event of the skills competition was accuracy shooting. Brock Nelson of the New York Islanders knocked off Nazem Kadri of the Calgary Flames in the final round as he hit all four targets in 12.419 seconds.
