Miami Hurricanes Entering NFL Draft

Several players from the University of Miami Hurricanes will be heading for the National Football League. The 2025 NFL Draft will be held in late April.
The most likely highest selection from the Canes is expected to be quarterback Cam Ward. He transferred from Washington State and participated with The U in 2024. Ward finished in second place for the Heisman Trophy last year.
Two of the Hurricanes wide receivers have local ties. Xavier Restrepo set several receiving records with the school. He played three seasons with the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders and captured a FHSAA Class 7A state championship with them in 2016. Restrepo was with the Deerfield Beach Bucks during his senior year.
Jacolby George played high school football with the Plantation Colonels. The school participated in the FHSAA Playoffs from 2017 and 2019 and reached the South Florida Tri-County Class 7A gold bracket championship game against the Atlantic Eagles in 2020.
Two other Miami players could be chosen in the 2025 NFL Draft. They are wide receiver Sam Brown and tight end Elijah Arroyo.
