Heat Roll By Pistons

     The Miami Heat held off the Detroit Pistons 118-112 at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday night. It was the only contest of the Heat's road trip. They extended their winning streak to four games. The Pistons have the best record in the Eastern Conference. 
     Miami(19-15) broke out to a 33-26 lead at the end of the first quarter. Detroit(25-9) went on an 11-2 spurt during the second quarter to take a 44-43 lead with 4:53 remaining. The Heat did hold a 63-54 advantage at halftime. 
     The Heat extended their lead to 94-81 by the conclusion of the third quarter. The Pistons went on a 13-2 run and cut it down to a two-point margin 114-112 with 45.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter. 
     Norman Powell set the tone for Miami with a game-high 36 points. Jaime Jaquez Jr. came off the bench with 19 points while Andrew Wiggins contributed 17 points. Bam Adebayo finished with a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds. 
     Detroit was led by Cade Cunningham as he compiled a club-high 31 points and eight rebounds. Marcus Sasser scored 18 points and Duncan Robinson had nine points.
