Ryan Weathers Traded By Marlins

The Miami Marlins have traded starting pitcher Ryan Weathers to the New York Yankees. Miami received back outfielder Dillon James, outfielder Brendan Jones, infielder Dylan Jasso and infielder Juan Matheus.
Weathers was acquired by the Fish from the San Diego Padres for Garrett Cooper in August 3. He was with Miami for three seasons from 2023 to 2025 and had a 7-10 record with a 4.11 earned run average in 27 games.
He was a second-generation pitcher in the Marlins organization. His father David Weathers had two stints with the club and played for the team from 1993 until 1996 and in 2004.
