Pacers Step On Heat

     The Miami Heat were defeated by the Indiana Pacers 135-118 on Sunday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Heat will next face the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow night. The Pacers are the defending Eastern Conference champions and will not make the postseason this year. 

     Miami(39-36) held a 36-34 lead at the conclusion of the first quarter. Indiana(17-58) was able to lead 79-75 at halftime.

     The Heat were still behind 108-107 at the end of the third quarter. The Pacers outscored Miami 27-11 during the final quarter.

     Tyler Herro placed in a game-high 31 points for Miami while Jaime Jaquez Jr. was able to score 18 points. Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and Pelle Larsson had 15 points each. 

     The Pacers were led by Pascal Siakam with a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Mikah Potter came off the bench with 21 points.
