The Glades Central Raiders play the Boynton Beach Tigers at Effie C. Grear Field in Belle Glade on Friday night. The Raiders have dominated their rivalry over the Tigers in the past decade.
Boynton Beach(0-6) is winless this year and had a bye last week. The Tigers have mainly played their home games on Thursday night this season. They have been outscored by their opponents 174-79.
Guenson Alexis is the quarterback for the Tigers and he can run or pass the ball. Wide receivers Charles Bryant, Shemar Jerome and Verwayne Alexander are his intended targets downfield.
Glades Central(3-3) has been unable to gain momentum this season as they have interchanged wins and losses on their schedule. They came over from The Muck last week and defeated Lake Worth 23-6. Regardless of the Raiders defeats this season, their strength of schedule has kept them in playoff contention in Region 4 of Class 4A.
Raiders quarterback Davius Richard can rifle the ball to wide receivers Jymetre Hester, Ja'Vontae Williams and Odieu Hilaire. Jaheim Humphries will get the majority of carries from the backfield for the team.
