Palm Beach Central Surprises Santaluces

The Palm Beach Central Broncos pushed by the Santaluces Chiefs 23-8 on Friday night in Lantana. Both high schools are considered two of the best large-school football teams from Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach Central(3-1) made it 7-0 with 2:34 left in the first quarter. Quarterback Chance Rouston rushed through the left side of the line from two yards away. The Broncos defense got a safety with 5:13 to go in the second quarter for a 9-0 advantage.
Santaluces(3-1) gave up another touchdown early in the third quarter and trailed 16-0. The Broncos fumbled the ball and offensive lineman David Sorensen recovered it in the end zone for the score. A weather delay happened during the final quarter to stop the game.
The Chiefs will travel to the Seminole Ridge Hawks next week. The Broncos host the Jupiter Warriors in a district contest two weeks from now.
