The Miami Marlins pounded the Philadelphia Phillies 10-1 at loanDepot park on Sunday. The Marlins finished off a six-game homestand with a 3-3 record.
Miami(54-89) broke out to a 2-0 lead in the opening frame. Connor Norby cracked a two-run homer to left-center field on a 1-2 count with Xavier Edwards aboard for his seventh home run of the campaign.
It became 3-0 for the Fish during the bottom of the second. Edwards hit a sacrifice fly to left field for Javier Sanoja to score.
In the third inning, the Marlins added seven more runs for a 10-run margin. It was capped by another two-run home run by Norby to left-center field on the first pitch.
Philadelphia(85-58) gained one run in the top of the ninth to break the shutout. Bryce Harper singled up the middle to score Johan Rojas.
