The Florida Panthers dealt defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and a 2016 second round pick to the Buffalo Sabres for forward Mark Pysyk along with a 2016 second and third round selection on Saturday. It was the second top-four defenseman that the team sent away after giving Erik Gudbranson to the Vancouver Canucks in late May.
Kulikov was with Florida for seven seasons and helped the club win two division championships in 2011-12 and 2015-16. He had 28 goals and 110 assists in 460 games with the Panthers.
Pysyk had one goal and ten assists in 55 games with the Sabres last season. He has played the last four seasons in Buffalo and had five goals and 21 assists in 125 NHL games.
