Red Sox Zap Marlins

     The Boston Red Sox knocked off the Miami Marlins 8-7 at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. It was the first game of a short two-game series between both teams.
     In the second inning, Boston(91-42) got the first run of the game. Ian Kinsler drove in Xander Bogaerts with a base hit down the third-base line.
     Miami(53-80) answered immediately in the top of the third. Issac Galloway socked a solo home run to center field on a 1-1 pitch.
     The Red Sox regained the lead in the bottom of the frame. Andrew Benintendi doubled to deep right-center field for Jackie Bradley Jr. to cross the plate. Mookie Betts would later score on a sacrifice fly to left by Bogaerts.
     They expanded their margin to 4-1 during the bottom of the sixth. Eduardo Nunez homered to left field on a 0-1 count.
     The Marlins blasted through with five runs to go up 6-4 in the top of the eighth inning. J.T. Realmuto connected on a two-run homer to left field on a 2-0 pitch with Brian Anderson scoring in front of him on the play. Starlin Castro came up next and smashed a solo home run to center on a 1-1 count to tie the contest 4-4. Rafael Ortega later knocked in Magneuris Sierra and Miguel Rojas with a single toward left field to take the lead.
     Boston overcame the deficit in the bottom of the eighth. Bradley came to the plate with the bases loaded with two out and inserted a base hit up the middle which brought in J.D. Martinez and Nunez. Five pitchers later, Kinsler scored on a wild pitch to give the Sox a 7-6 lead.
     In the ninth inning, the Fish fought back with one run as Craig Kimbrel blew the save. Sierra singled through the right side of the infield to bring home Yadiel Rivera.
     The Red Sox responded again in the bottom of the frame for the walk-off victory. Martinez scored when J.T. Riddle tried to complete a double play, however his throw from second base went into the stands.
