Miami Rises To 11th Largest Radio Market

     Nielsen released their new rankings for the top 246 radio markets based on population in the United States. The information was rolled out based on the start of the spring 2024 ratings. 

     Miami moved up from 12th place to 11th place and exchanged spots with Seattle among people that are 12+ in age with 4,136,100. The local region consists of Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. It takes into consideration Dade County and Broward County. 

     The Miami market leaped over Detroit for the 11th largest radio market back in the fall of 2012. It then dropped to the 12th largest radio market and was replaced by Seattle in the spring of 2022.
