The Miami Heat lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 103-100 at Miami-Dade Arena on Wednesday night. The Heat will play the Cavs again in the same venue on Friday night to complete their six-game homestand.
Miami(35-32) had a 30-26 edge at the end of the first quarter. The Cavs moved ahead and were up 57-53 at halftime. Cleveland(42-26) stayed out in front 87-82 after three quarters. The Heat fell behind by eight points twice during the fourth quarter and could not tie it up in the final four seconds of the contest.
Only three Miami players scored in double figures. Jimmy Butler collected 28 points, five assists and five rebounds. Tyler Herro scored 22 points and Bam Adebayo had 17 points. Darius Garland led Cleveland with a team-high 25 points.
