The Heat have three remaining home games during the regular season. They will host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.
New York(42-32) began the contest on a 10-4 a spurt and had a 32-31 advantage after one quarter. Miami(40-34) scored the last seven points of the first half and were up 64-61 at halftime.
The Heat had an 11-point gap 88-77 with 3:19 to go in the third quarter and led 92-86 after three quarters. Miami went on a 16-4 run midway in the final frame and had a 114-102 lead.
Jimmy Butler came close to a double-double with a game-high 35 points along with nine assists. Tyler Herro dropped in 22 points and Gabe Vincent put in 19 points. R.J. Barrett had 26 points while Jalen Brunson added 25 points for the Knicks.
