Brandon Bussi Wins Stanley Cup

The Florida Panthers reign as the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions officially ended tonight. The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final at Las Vegas. The Canes won the best-of-seven series 4-2 for their second Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi helped the Hurricanes when he entered during the midway point of the Stanley Cup Final. Bussi joined the Florida Panthers organization when he signed as a free agent with the club on July 1, 2025. Carolina claimed him off waivers from Florida on October 5, 2025.
Mike Reilly was another former Florida Panthers player who was also on the championship team. He played in two games with the Cats during the 2023-24 campaign before he was claimed off waivers by the New York Islanders.
