The Miami Marlins edged the San Francisco Giants 2-1 at laonDepot Park on Sunday. The Marlins swept the three-game series against the Giants and extended their home winning streak to eight games.
Miami(40-38) broke out to a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the first. Kyle Stowers socked a solo home run to right-center field on the first pitch for his eighth homer of the campaign.
San Francisco(31-46) tied it up 1-1 in the top of the third. Casey Schmitt singled into right field for former Marlins player Luis Arraez to score.
The Fish regained the lead 2-1 in the fourth inning. Otto Lopez doubled into right-center field and Stowers raced home.
