Former South Floirda weathercaster Jillian Barberie will move into the radio field for the first time as a midday talk co-host on 790 KABC-AM in Los Angeles as of February 17. She worked as a weathercaster for WSVN-TV Channel 7 in Miami during the early 1990's. Her former husband is Bret Barberie who once played second base for the Florida Marlins in 1993 and 1994 .
Barberie was the first of several WSVN weathercasters that eventually moved to Los Angeles for television work. She became known nationally for a weather segment on the Fox Sports NFL Sunday football pregame show from 2000 until Super Bowl 42 in February 2008.
