The Miami Heat cruised by the Charlotte Bobcats 98-85 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal on Saturday night as Time Warner Cable Arena. The Heat are one victory away from a sweep and advancing into the second round of the NBA playoffs.
LeBron James compiled a double-double for Miami with 30 points, 10 rebounds and six rebounds in 36 minutes. Dwyane Wade had 17 points and six assists in 34 minutes. Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers both added eight points each.
Al Jefferson had a team-high 20 points for the Bobcats in 30 minutes of play. Josh McRoberts fell short of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds while Kemba Walker poured in 13 points.
Charlotte began the game on a 18-11 spurt until they surrendered ten straight points. They regained the lead and were up 27-23 after one quarter. The Heat went on a 25-9 run at the end of the second quarter and led at halftime 58-46. Miami would hold the lead for the entire second half and extended their margin up to 21 points as they were ahead 86-65 after three quarters.
