The Florida Panthers have let go interim head coach Peter Horachek and will look for a replacement. Horachek finished with a record of 26-36-4 in 66 games with the team in 2013-14. He replaced Kevin Dineen back on November 8, 2013 following his stint as the head coach of the Panthers AHL affiliate in San Antonio.
The Cats ended up 15th in the Eastern Conference and 29th in the league standings with 66 points ahead of only the Buffalo Sabres. The club was ranked last in the NHL on the power play and penalty killing. Florida recently won the draft lottery and will have the first pick of the 2014 NHL Draft in Philadelphia this June.
