Dwyane Wade returned to the lineup for the first time in eight games as the Miami Heat dropped the New York Knicks 86-79 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. The Heat held on to the lead throughout the entire ballgame and have won three of their last four games. The Knicks have lost four straight and 13 of their last 15.
Wade led Miami(9-7) with 27 points and had 14 points in the fourth quarter. Chris Bosh fell short of a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds while Luol Deng compiled a double-double of ten points and ten rebounds.
Carmelo Anthony had a game-high 31 points for New York(4-14) along with eight rebounds in 41 minutes of play. Amar'e Stoudemire came off the Knicks bench and garnered 19 points with 12 rebounds.
