In spite of striking out 15 times, the Miami Marlins were able to get by the San Francisco Giants 6-2 at AT&T Park on Saturday night. It was just the fourth time in franchise history that the Fish struck out at least 13 times in a nine inning game. Giants stating pitcher Madison Bumgarner took the loss as he had ten strikeouts and allowed three runs on five hits.
Marcell Ozuna hit a home run for the second time in three games during the fourth inning for Miami(15-16). San Francisco(15-16) gave up two more runs in the frame. J.T. Realmuto followed with a walk then scored on a double to left field by Jeff Baker. After Michael Morse grounded out to short, Adeiny Hechavarria knocked in Baker with a double into deep right field.
