It was a rematch of the 2014 NASL Soccer Bowl on Saturday night at Toyota Field as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers tied the San Antonio Scorpions 1-1. Both clubs last met each other on the same pitch back in November where the Strikers lost 2-1 in the championship game.
San Antonio(2-5-2) got out to a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute when midfielder Joseph Nane scored on a 17-yard shot. Fort Lauderdale(2-5-2) evened it up before the end of the first half during the 43rd minute as forward Stefano Pinho put the ball into an open net from close range.
