Former Marlins catcher Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America on Wednesday. He becomes the third player in Marlins franchise history to reach Cooperstown and joins Andre Dawson and Mike Piazza.
Rodriguez played just one season with the Florida Marlins and helped the club win the 2003 World Series over the New York Yankees in six games. He batted .297 with 16 home runs and 85 runs batted in during 144 regular season games that season.
