The Boca Raton Bobcats defeated the Vero Beach Indians 14-10 on Wednesday night in a two-quarter contest. It was part of the Boca Raton spring football jamboree.
The Indians got on the scoreboard first at the seven-minute mark of the opening quarter. They were able to make a 27-yard field goal.
Boca Raton made it 7-3 with 3:29 left in the first. Quarterback Michael Pratt fired a 28-yard pass to the end zone where wide receiver Rashawn Faustine caught it.
In the second quarter, Vero Beach regained the lead 10-7. Quarterback Ryan Jankowski sent a five-yard swing pass to the right and running back Bobby McMillian raced in from five yards away with 10:57 to go.
The Bobcats made the most of their final drive of the game. Pratt scrambled out of the pocket to the left side and scored on a 19-yard run with 3:00 left and they led 14-10.
Vero Beach almost scored on their last possession of the contest. McMillian tried to bust through the middle on the final play with no time remaining, however the Bobcats defense stopped him at the one-yard line.
