The Palm Beach Gardens Gators shut out the Olympic Heights Lions 20-0 at Mullinax Ford Stadium on Wednesday night. Both squads played the first football game between two Palm Beach County high schools this spring. The contest was only two quarters long.
The Gators got on the scoreboard with 1:34 to go in the first quarter. Running back Miles Coleman went through the left side and scored from 26 yards away.
Palm Beach Gardens made it 13-0 at 9:31 of the second. Gators running back Deon Lucien raced up the middle untouched into the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown.
Olympic Heights surrendered another touchdown with 2:30 remaining. Quarterback Lynden Moss tossed a 10-yard pass into the front of the end zone to wide receiver Brandon Watson.
