Miami Marlins shortstop Isan Diaz is returning to the team. He is being reinstated on the approval by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. He did play two games with Miami at the beginning of the 2020 season before he opted out from the club due to coronavirus concerns.
Diaz was called up to the majors in 2019 by the Marlins. He participated in 49 games last season and compiled five home runs, 23 runs batted in and a .193 batting average. Diaz was acquired in the Christian Yelich trade to the Milwaukee Brewers on January 25, 2018.
