The Miami Heat took the Milwaukee Bucks 108-102 on Thursday night in Miami. Both clubs will meet again at the same venue on Saturday afternoon.
The Heat have won four of their last five home games and sit three games over the .500 percentage for the first time this season. It was also the first time that the Heat played at home since the FTX Arena brand was stopped by a federal bankruptcy judge.
Milwaukee(27-15) bolted out to a 23-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. Miami(23-20) had a 14-4 spurt to end the second quarter and were tied with the Bucks 45-45 at halftime. The Heat moved ahead 78-73 after three quarters. The Bucks were down by double digits for 10 minutes of the fourth quarter.
Gabe Vincent led the Heat with a game-high 28 points. Three Miami players were able to compile double-doubles. Bam Adebayo had 24 points with 12 rebounds while Jimmy Butler got 17 points and 11 rebounds. Max Strus contributed 12 points along with 10 rebounds and Victor Oladipo downed 14 points.
Jrue Holiday composed a double-double of 24 points and 11 assists for the Bucks. Jevon White dropped in 18 points and Bobby Portis added 12 points in the defeat.
