The venue that the Miami Heat currently plays in has officially ended the naming rights to FTX Arena on Wednesday. A federal bankruptcy judge ruled that Miami-Dade County and the Miami Heat can eliminate the FTX branding on the arena.
Miami-Dade County was 18 months into a 19-year contract that was to pay out a total of $135 million. There is no word of a new name or brand for the venue. It went by the name American Airlines Arena from December 1999 until June 2021.
