Matthew DeFranks In St. Louis

     Former South Florida Sun-Sentinel sportswriter Matthew DeFranks is currently the St. Louis Blues beat reporter for the St. Louis Dispatch. He started his new position at that newspaper in late December. 

     DeFranks was the Florida Atlantic University athletics beat reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel from 2016 to 2017. He was promoted to Florida Panthers beat writer in September 2017 and stayed there until July 2018. 

     He left for the Dallas Morning News in August 2018. DeFranks was the Dallas Stars beat writer for them until December 2022.
