White Sox Add Jake Marisnick

     The Chicago White Sox have signed former Miami Marlins outfielder Jake Marisnick to a minor league contract. He is expected to attend their spring training camp and attempt to make the White Sox roster. 

     Marisnick reached Major League Baseball with the Miami Marlins in 2013 and 2014. He participated in just 54 and had a .178 batting average. 

     He later had stints with the Houston Astros, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates. Marisnick compiled two home runs, six runs batted in and a .234 batting average in 31 games with the Pirates last season.
