Sergei Bobrovsky 400th Win & Panthers Stop Rangers

Sergei Bobrovsky collected his 400th career NHL win as the Florida Panthers beat the New York Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. Bobrovsky became the 14th goalie in National Hockey League history to reach the 400-win plateau. He is the fastest to accomplish it in 707 regular season games.
It was a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals between both teams. The Blueshirts entered this contest undefeated after six games.
The Panthers began a long road trip that will include two games to be played in Europe. Florida will have their next home contest in Sunrise on November 7.
Florida(5-3-1) rocketed out to a 1-0 lead just 44 seconds into the contest. Eetu Luostarinen poked the puck ahead and Sam Reinhart made a centering pass from the right wing. Anton Lundell snapped a shot from the low slot past Igor Shesterkin for his fifth goal of the season.
The Panthers expanded their lead to 2-0 at 2:42 mark. Gustav Forsling stopped the puck on the left point and kicked it to his right. Carter Verhaeghe then released a snap shot from the left-circle dot for his first tally of the year.
New York(5-1-1) got on the scoreboard at 4:44 and closed it to 2-1. Adam Fox connected a pass from the right wing and Alexis Lafreniere backhanded a shot from the top of the crease by Bobrovsky for his fourth goal of the campaign.
In the second period, the Cats increased it to 3-1 at 6:59. Dmitry Kulikov slid the puck from the right point. Niko Mikkola blasted a slap shot from the left point and it was deflected in by Sam Bennett from the low slot for his sixth goal of the year.
