Heat Take Second Game In Overtime

    The Miami Heat had to take game two of the Eastern Conference Finals into overtime as they dropped the Boston Celtics 115-111 at American Airlines Arena on Wednesday night. Miami now leads the series 2-0 as they play the next two games at TD Garden in Boston. The Heat overcame their biggest deficit in franchise playoff history for the win. LeBron James led the Heat with 34 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Dwyane Wade added 23 points while Mario Chalmers had 22 points. Rajon Rondo had a career-high 44 points and 10 assists for the Celtics.  
    Udonis Haslem hit a seven-foot shot with 1:27 left to go in overtime for a 107-105 lead. Wade was fouled by Kevin Garnett when he made a driving lay-up with 59.7 remaining in the extra session. Miami had scored seven straight points at that point to led 110-105.
    In the first quarter, the Heat got the first basket on a James dunk then Boston scored the next six points. Miami followed with five straight points for a 7-6 lead. The C's pulled off a 14-6 spurt midway through the first quarter. Boston led 24-18 after one quarter with Paul Pierce and Rondo getting eight points each.
    Boston scored six consecutive points at the start of the second quarter and got a double-digit lead with a 12-3 run in the first four minutes to make it 36-21. Miami was down 54-46 at halftime as Chalmers had 14 points and James added 13. Rondo led all scorers in first-half scoring with 22 points.
    Miami was able to cut the margin down to five points for most of the third quarter. They were behind 61-56 with over eight minutes left. The Heat retook the lead for the first time since early in the first quarter at 73-71 with 2:55 remaining as Haslem made a field goal and a free throw. Miami scored 12 consecutive points to stretch the lead to 78-71 and led 81-75 after three quarters.
Boston was outscored 35-21 in the third quarter.
     The Celtics pulled off an 11-1 run in the early part of the fourth quarter and regained the lead 88-85. Miami came back and went ahead 96-94 with just under two minutes to go. Pierce fouled out with 48 seconds left. Ray Allen tied the game at 99-99 with a three-point shot with 34.3 remaining. The game went info overtime as James missed an 18-foot shot in the final second.
