Paul Severino has been named the new Miami Marlins television play-by-play announcer on Fox Sports Florida. He replaces Rich Waltz and will work in the broadcast booth with game analyst Todd Hollandsworth.
Severino leaves his post as a studio host for MLB Network and NHL Network. He recently was the play-by-play announcer for the World Junior Hockey Championship on NHL Network earlier this month. Severino called several games of the World Baseball Classic in March 2017 and the Triple A All-Star Game in July 2017 on MLB Network. Prior to joining MLB Network in 2011, he worked for ESPN as a sports anchor and studio host.
