Anthony Chiang has joined the Miami Herald as their new Miami Heat beat writer. He replaces Manny Navarro who left for The Athletic Miami earlier this week.
Chiang was recently with the Palm Beach Post as the Miami Heat reporter. The newspaper mentioned that they would no longer cover the team on a regular basis and moved Chiang to cover the Miami Hurricanes athletic program in July 2018.
He first started locally earlier this decade as a high school sports reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Chiang then went to the Palm Beach Post in the middle of 2013 as their lead high school sportswriter. He was promoted to write about the Miami Heat in 2015.
