Former South Florida sports radio host Sal Licata will no longer continue as a fill-in evening sports host on WOR-AM in New York City. He has been on that station for the past five years.
Licata was the pregame studio host prior to the New York Yankees Radio Network on 640 Sports WMEN-AM from April 2013 to August 2013.
He began his broadcasting career as an intern at WFAN-AM in New York City and it eventually led him to become the afternoon producer on the Mike Francesca Show. Licata remained at WFAN until June 2010.
Licata has worked at SNY in many different roles. He was a co-host of The Wheelhouse along with Loud Mouths, a panelist on Daily News Live and a sports anchor on their evening sports news program. Licata also hosted a show called Full Count on MLB.com.
