The Boca Raton Bobcats head up to Greenacres and face the John I. Leonard Lancers on Thursday night. Both schools are in the middle of the standings in District 10 of Class 8A.
Boca Raton(4-4, 2-2) snapped a three-game losing streak last week with a 24-6 win over the Lake Worth Trojans. The Bobcats began the regular season with a 3-1 record. They have lost all three of their road contests this year.
They have quarterback Michael Pratt to lead their offense. Running backs Stalens Demeus and Davion Maxwell will get their opportunities from the backfield. Pratt has several choices to choose from to connect passes with that includes wide receivers Deltavian Jenkins, Brandon Holcomb, Rashawn Baustine and Jared Moorer.
John I. Leonard(1-6, 1-3) will be playing their third game in the last seven days and tiredness could be a factor. Their only victory this season was against Spanish River two weeks ago. The Lancers have been outscored 182-62 this year and have averaged seven points per game.
Quarterback Jadiel Cruz will call the signals on offense for the Lancers. He can find wide receivers Jonel Dieujuste, Hansen Dominique, Dorrien Haskins, Ahmed Orange, Cedric Evans and Jose Gonzalez down the field for completions. They will split the rushing attempts between running backs Kenneth Charles and Andre Rosier.
