Astros Slide By Marlins

     The Houston Astros edged the Miami Marlins 6-5 on Tuesday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins had their three-game winning streak snapped. 
     Miami(63-58) had a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Bryan De La Cruz singled into center field for Jazz Chisholm Jr. to score. 
     The Marlins increased it to 3-0 in the bottom of the third when Jorge Soler blasted a solo homer to right field on a 2--2 pitch with Joey Wendle aboard for his 30th homer of the year. He became the first Marlins player to reached 30 home runs in a season since Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna in 2017.
     Houston(69-52) battled back with two runs in the top of the fourth and they were down 3-2. Yainer Diaz whacked a two-run homer to left-center field 0-2 pitch with Yordan Alvarez on base. It was the 16th home run of the year for Diaz. 
     The Fish answered back in the bottom of the fourth with another run. Jesus Sanchez knocked in Chisholm with a base hit into right field. 
     The Astros tied it up 4-4 in the top of the fifth. Jake Meyers scored on an Alex Bregman ground out to third. Kyle Tucker came up next and reached base when De La Cruz and Chisholm colluded in the outfield trying to catch a fly ball in deep left-center field. Mauricio Dubon was able to reach home on the error. 
     Miami moved ahead 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth. Josh Bell reached first on a throwing error and Wendle scored on another throwing error on the play. 
     It was evened up 5-5 by Houston in the sixth inning. Chas McCormick ripped a solo home run to right field on a 0-1 pitch for his 16th homer run of the campaign. 
     Houston pulled ahead for the first time in the contest 6-5 in the top of the seventh. Tucker belted a solo home run to right field on the first pitch for his 23rd homer of the season.
