In the second inning, Miami(30-53) struck first for a 1-0 advantage. Nick Gordon connected with a solo home run to right field on a 0-1 pitch for his eighth homer of the year.
Philadelphia(54-29) evened it up 1-1 in the bottom of the third. Garrett Stubbs cracked a solo homer to right field on a full count for his first home run of the 2024 campaign.
The Phillies jumped ahead 2-1 in the fifth inning. Alec Bohm knocked in Johan Rojas on a sacrifice fly to left field.
The Marlins reclaimed the lead 3-2 with two runs in the top of the seventh. Nick Fortes doubled into the left-field corner for Otto Lopez to score. Jazz Chisholm Jr. followed with a base hit into center field and Fortes crossed the plate.
