Chris Paddack Exits Marlins

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Chris Paddack has refused a designation of assignment to the minor leagues and has been released by the team. It ends his second tenure with the Marlins organization. Paddack had a 0-5 record with a 7.63 earned run average this year with the club.
Paddack was chosen in the eighth round of the 2015 MLB Draft by Miami. He was dealt to the San Diego Padres for relief pitcher Fernando Rodney on June 30, 2016.
He was in the majors with the Padres from 2019 until 2021. Paddack spent time with the Minnesota Twins from 2022 to 2025.
