Phillies Push By Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies held off the Miami Marlins 6-5 at loanDepot park on Friday night. The Marlins came off a six-game California road trip and began a 10-game homestand.
The Phillies have won four straight games. The Fish started a four-game wraparound weekend series with the Phillies.
Miami(15-17) broke out to a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the first. Xavier Edwards doubled down the right-field line to score Otto Lopez.
Philadelphia(13-19) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth. Alex Bohm singled into center field and Brandon Marsh reached home. Justin Crawford followed with a double to deep right field and Bryson Stott scored.
The Phillies added four more runs in the top of the seventh and led 6-1. Edmundo Sosa knocked in Bryce Harper on a base hit into right-center field. Stott came up next and smacked a three-run homer to right field on a 2-2 pitch. Marsh and Sosa scored in front of him on the play.
The Marlins picked up three runs during the bottom of the eighth to make it 6-4. Lopez drove in Jakob Marsee on an infield base hit. Two batters later, Liam Hicks hit a sacrifice fly and Kyle Stowers crossed the plate. Agustin Ramirez then singled up the middle and Lopez touched home.
The Fish closed it to 6-5 with two outs in the ninth inning. Javier Sanoja scored on a base hit into right field by Lopez. Edwards then lined up to center field to end the game.
