Tony Fiorentino will work one more year as the television analyst of Miami Heat basketball games on Sun Sports. He will work alongside play-by-play announcer Eric Reid for the 2017-18 season.
Fiorentino joined the Heat prior to their inaugural season in 1988-89 as an assistant coach to head coach Ron Rothstein. He held the same position for head coaches Alvin Gentry and Pat Riley during the mid 1990s.
He began to fill-in for Mike Fratello as the Miami Heat television game analyst in the early 2000s when Fratello had to work an assignment on national television. Fiorentino became the permanent game analyst on December 3, 2004 when Fratello left to become the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies.
