Marlins Dash By Mets

The Miami Marlins bounced back with a 5-1 victory over the New York Mets at Citi Field on Tuesday night. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Marlins.
Miami(18-30) compiled three runs in the top of the second. A Miguel Rojas base hit to right field brought home Brian Anderson. Four batters later, J.T. Realmuto got a two-run single to center which scored Derek Dietrich and Rojas.
New York(24-20) responded with one tally in the bottom of the frame. Tomas Nido drove in the newest Mets player Jose Bautista with a sacrifice fly to right field.
The Marlins put the contest out of reach in the eighth inning. Dietrich smacked a two-run homer to right field on the first pitch and Anderson scored on front of him on the play.
