The West Palm Beach region could become a competitive sports market on the radio for the first time in four years. Several sports radio format stations made some announcements for changes.
ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM would see an end of an era in April. It was the final month that Evan Cohen broadcast a two-hour show and Josh Cohen was in the midday shift. The program with Evan Cohen will be cut down to one hour while Josh Cohen shifts from middays to mid-afternoons in May.
640 The Hurricane WMEN-AM saw their numbers go from a 0.1 to a 0.2 in the month. The anticipation of the start of the New York Yankees regular season did help. They also got a bump from the one-hour Kevin's Other Show with Kevin Rolston which is broadcast twice a day.
1230 The Zone WBZT-AM remained at a 0.0 for the eighth straight month. It was thought that the addition of Miami Marlins broadcasts at night would have an impact on the station.
