Panthers Finish NHL Draft

     The second day of the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas occurred on Saturday. It consisted of the second round to the seventh round.
     Florida selected right wing Serron Noel with the 34th overall pick in the second round. Noel played junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals. He had 28 goals and 25 assists in 62 games last season.
     The Panthers acquired a third-round pick from the Nashville Predators which was 89th overall during the day for a 2019 third-round selection. They took right wing Logan Hutsko from Boston College. He compiled 12 goals along with 19 assists in 37 games during 2017-18. Hutsko helped the Eagles win the Hockey East regular season title.
     The Cats kept the remainder of their selections that they entered the draft with. They went with left wing Justin Schutz of Red Bull Hockey Academie of Czech Republic in the sixth round, followed by defensemen Cole Krygier of the Lincoln Stars and Santtu Kinnunen with the Pelicans junior team of Finland in the final round.
