Public high schools throughout Palm Beach County will finally open up their 2020 seasons for football this weekend. They are the last schools in the entire state of Florida to have their season openers. Some Broward County public high schools like Dillard, Fort Lauderdale, Stoneman Douglas and Coral Springs started their seasons on Thursday.
Three high school campuses will have all Palm Beach County public schools compete on their gridirons. They are Boca Raton, Wellington and Jupiter.
Each location will have one game on Fridays over the next month. There will be only three contests tonight. Boynton Beach is at Boca Raton, Royal Palm Beach is at Wellington and John I. Leonard is at Jupiter.
All three sites will have Saturday tripleheaders for the next four weeks. The start times will be at 10AM, 2PM and 6PM.
Boca Raton will have Atlantic-West Boca Raton and Olympic Heights-Spanish River. Wellington has Park Vista-Santaluces, Glades Central-Palm Beach Central and Pahokee-Dwyer. Jupiter hosts Palm Beach Gardens-Palm Beach Lakes and Village Academy-Suncoast.
