Florida Panthers Buy Out Keith Yandle

The Florida Panthers have brought out defenseman Keith Yandle for the remainder of his contract. He had two seasons left on his current deal with the Panthers. Yandle will receive $1.24 million per season.
He will become an unrestricted free agent and can sign a new deal with any National Hockey League team.
Yandle did not miss one regular season contest in five seasons with the Panthers. He currently has the second longest all-time consecutive games played streak in NHL history at 922 contests. Yandle can break the record next season because Doug Jarvis stands at 964 games.
He helped the Panthers reach the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1996 and 1997. Yandle chalked up 30 goals and 201 assists in 371 games with Florida.
