Yankees Defeat Marlins

The New York Yankees got by the Miami Marlins 3-1 at loanDepot park on Friday night. Both clubs made several transactions prior to the trade deadline today. It was the first time that the Yankees played a regular season game in Miami since 2018.
New York(54-48) scored first in the sixth inning. Recent addition Anthony Rizzo blasted a solo home run to right-center field on a 1-0 pitch for his 15th homer of the season. He was acquired in a trade from the Chicago Cubs on Thursday.
The Yankees increased it to 3-0 in the top of the eighth. Rougned Odor singled up the middle for Aaron Judge and Rizzo to score.
Miami(44-59) responded with a run in the bottom of the eighth. Brian Anderson grounded out into a double play, but Jazz Chisholm Jr. reached home on the play.
