Orioles Fly By Marlins

The Miami Marlins were unable to hole a five-run lead and lost to the Baltimore Orioles 8-7 on Wednesday night at Camden Yards. The loss ended a Marlins three-game win streak. The Marlins will be off on Thursday for the second in four days and then host the New York Yankees this weekend.
Miami(44-58) got ahead 2-0 in the first inning. Jesus Aguilar delivered a double off the left-center field wall for Miguel Rojas to score. Two batters later, Brian Anderson drove in Aguilar on a base hit through the right side.
The Marlins extended their lead to 5-0 in the top of the second. Isan Diaz singled into right field and Rojas scored. Aguilar followed with a two-run homer to left-center field on a 2-1 pitch for his 18th home run of the season.
Baltimore(35-65) mounted a comeback in the bottom of the second. Pedro Severino hammered a three-run homer to center field on a 2-1 count with D.J. Stewart and Ramon Urias aboard.
The Orioles tied it up 5-5 in the third inning. Trey Mancini lifted a solo home run to left-center field on a 0-2 pitch for his 19th homer of the year. Urias later knocked in Stewart with a double to center.
In the fourth inning, Miami reclaimed the lead 7-5. Brian Anderson was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Isan Diaz crossed the plate. Lewin Diaz then grounded out to first and Aguilar reached home.
The O's evened it up again at 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth. Severino ground out to first for Ryan McKenna to score. Urias eventually scored on a base hit through the right side by Maikel Franco.
Baltimore won the contest in the ninth inning. They loaded the bases on a walk, a sacrifice bunt and two intentional walks. McKenna then walked on a full count and Mullins crossed the plate.
